What a prefab wood house is like
A prefab wood house is built from wood panels or structural elements made in a workshop, under cover and with quality control at every stage. On the plot they are placed on the foundations and completed with insulation, services and finishes, as in any home.
Wood is a renewable material that stores the carbon the tree absorbed, insulates well naturally and makes interiors feel warm. It is light, so it puts little load on the foundations and is easy to transport. In exchange, it needs good protection from moisture and care of the exterior finishes over time.
The models on this page can be built in wood. In the configurator you choose the technology together with the size and finishes, and you see the exact price as you choose.
Frequently asked questions
The average turnkey delivery time is 6 months from the moment the building permit is granted. The parts are made under cover in a workshop, with quality control at every stage, and then assembled on your plot.
Yes, the same as any home. It complies with the Spanish Building Code (CTE), the Building Act (LOE) and the local planning rules of the municipality, which grants the permit. FindNido drafts and certifies the project and handles the permit for you.
Yes. Like any home, it meets the fire safety and moisture protection requirements of the Spanish Building Code, and the project defines how the wood is protected. What it does need is maintenance of the exterior finishes over the years.
The structure changes, not the design: most models are offered in several technologies. Wood brings warmth and a renewable material. Concrete adds more thermal mass and sound insulation, and steel is lighter and quicker to assemble. You can compare them in the configurator with the same model.
